those detroit fans in the picture look oddly happy. what draws you to pittsburgh anyway? are you from there or some shit? i always thought they had a cool logo/mascot

yeah there were a handful of detroit fans with class who stayed to watch the cup presentation and not boo. i'm from ohio but i inherited my pittsburgh fan-ness from my parents which is kind of ass-backwards (i.e. i should like cleveland or cincinnati both of which hate pittsburgh, another weird thing is that because of ohio state i already hate michigan, the other weird thing is that i don't give a shit about football haha) i don't really know why they are drawn to pittsburgh because neither of them are from there either but i know i am drawn to the pens because it's the team i grew up with. this signed picture of lemieux has been in our house for as long as i can remember and i also remember my dad's beer drinking cursing at the tv during pittsburgh's 'dark ages' via nhl on espn and fox (i remember the glow puck). they're just the best franchise in the world to me. they have so many compelling storylines in their history and their recent history that make them exciting to watch every game.
